Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Operational Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police. We have no instances that meet the criteria of this request, ie of helicopters being in the area for 4 hours. We can advise however that a National Police Air Service aircraft was deployed during the night in question to two separate requests in the Jarrow area.

The first was to the West Boldon area between 0354 and 0408hrs following a decamp from vehicle.

The second was to the Fellgate area between 0544 and 0626hrs following a report of an intruder in a compound.

Total time airborne was less than 1 hour to 2 different incidents.
