Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
Please could you provide me with information pertaining to the number of police officers your force supplies to patrol St James’ Park, for the 19-home league matches for Newcastle F.C. for the 2017/18 season? Each respective fixture, along with the total number of officers per matchday would be ideal.
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Force Resilience Unit of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as attached.
To note, these figures are as per your request, in that it is the number of officers supplied to patrol St James Park. It should not be seen as an indication of how many officers are actually on duty overall on match days.
