Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

During the period 311017 to 301018 :

  1. How many stage 4 DBS checks did Northumbria Police approve ?
  2. How many were completed in under 52 days ?
  3. How many were completed in under 47 days ?
  4. In cases where the above number of days were exceeded , how many of those people had previous convictions , cautions or warnings?

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Information Management Unit of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police. You may wish to submit your request to the DBS directly to see if they are able to assist.
