Northumbria Police aims to deploy and task all operational resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring all operational activity is supported by intelligence led briefings. All operational staff within Northumbria Police will be briefed and tasked in accordance with the guidance set out in the National Briefing Model via APP.
Where circumstances allow, staff on Neighbourhood Policing Teams will be briefed and tasked together.
When operational staff commence duty at a time other than when a briefing takes place, they will self brief via the local briefing system.
