Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

1. I would like to know how many police men and women have been

a) sacked/ dismissed from their job for using anabolic steroids between 01/01/2015 – 31/12/17

b) disciplined for using anabolic steroids between 01/01/2015 – 31/12/17 please?

 2. Please also let me know if any police men or women have been

a) sacked/ dismissed from their job for selling/ and or distributing anabolic steroids between 01/01/2015 – 31/12/17

b) disciplined for selling/ and or distributing anabolic steroids between 01/01/2015 – 31/12/17 please?

 3. Please can you also tell me how many police men and women have failed a drugs test/ tested positive for anabolic steroids between 01/01/2015 – 31/12/17 please?

 If you’re able to break down the data (for all questions) by the individuals job title and date the offence was recorded I would be most grateful.

 We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

 Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Professional Standards Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police. Searches made on relevant systems have brought back nil results.  We can therefore confirm that the response to all parts of this request is zero.
