Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
You asked:
1) The number racial discrimination claims made against your police force by current or ex staff members in the year 2018 & 2019.
2) The number of successful claims of racial discrimination claims against your police force in 2018 & 2019.
3) A breakdown of compensation given to successful claimants of racial discrimination against your police force in 2018 & 2019.
After we sought clarity you stated that by ‘staff’ you actually meant both police officers and staff.
In Response:
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Legal Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police. There have been no such claims that meet the criteria of this submission.
