Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
You asked:
- Between 23 March and 5th April (two-week period only) could you provide the number of 101 calls to your police force in relation to Covid 19 measures being breached?
- Between 23 March and 5th April (two-week period only) could you provide the number of 999 calls to your police force in relation to Covid 19 measures being breached?
In Response:
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted within Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
Counts have been extracted from a database for all calls noting "101" or "999" in the "How Reported" field wherein the closing code is a coronavirus qualifier codes within the date period specified. These had to be manually reviewed to establish how many related to measures being breached. If the incident has explicitly mentioned this as a reason for the call then the record has been included in the figures. If it has not then the record has not been included.
With the above noted I respond as below.
