How many young people aged between 11-18 have been arrested for committing a crime in each calendar year 2013 – 2017 inclusive.
After we sought clarity you confirmed that both 11 and 18 year olds were to be included in the figures.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

This data was extracted from the Arrests database and the age at the time of the crime was calculated using the date of birth and Date from fields. The arrests counted were those where the age was greater than 10 and less than 19 at the time of the crime.
