Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

Please could you provide the number of people arrested under s144 LASPO (or offence code 125/86) since 2012, broken down by calendar year.
If this would exceed the appropriate cost limit, then please limit the request to such number of years as would allow the processing of this request - for example, only 2017.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
With regards to data from 2012 – 2015 inclusive, the below exemption is relevant.
As the information you have requested is accessible by other means I have not provided you with a copy of the information and will rely on Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. You should therefore consider this a refusal for your request.
I have provided an explanation to this exemption below.

Information which is reasonably accessible to the applicant is exempt information.
This information has been asked for previously, released and our responses published on the Northumbria Police Disclosure Log. Relevant FOIs are 072/15 and 048/16 and the link to the Log is provided below.
With regards to the remainder of your request, for the year 2016, 2017 and 2018, I respond as below.
I have searched all arrests between 01/01/2016 and 26/06/2018 under HO Code 125/86.
This has returned 1 result only and this is for 2017.
