Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

  1. The number of burglary offences that have been recorded by your force in each of the past five calendar years (2019; 2018; 2017; 2016; 2015)?
  2. The outcomes of all burglary offences (e.g. no suspect identified, suspect charged) reported to your force in each of the past five years (2019; 2018; 2017; 2016; 2015)?
  3. The estimated value of items stolen in burglaries recorded by your force in each of the past five years (2019; 2018; 2017; 2016; 2015)
  4. The number of police officers employed who were dedicated to investigating burglaries in 2019, and the number who were dedicated to investigating burglaries in each of the previous four calendar years (2018; 2017; 2016; 20156)

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development and People Services Departments of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

To note – not all crimes have £ property logged.
