Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

1. How many cars were reported stolen:A) between 1/12/16 - 1/12/17

B) between 1/12/15 - 1/12/16

3. How many of the cars reported stolen between 1/12/16 - 1/12/17 were found recovered?

4. Number of reports of aggravated vehicle taking, of a car only, according to section 12A of the theft act between 1/12/16- 1/12/17

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

 Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

 I am able to disclose the located information to you as attached.

 To note – when aggregated your requests have exceeded the 18 hour threshold.  However we have, as an exception, provided a response to this request.  You should also note that this will be taken into consideration should any further requests on this subject matter by submitted by you.
