Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

My request relates to reported offences, arrests, charges, cautions and prosecutions under Section 76 of the Serious Crime Act 2015.  I would like to request the following information. Between 01/01/2016 up to 01/09/2019, how many of the following have taken place in your police jurisdiction under Section 76 of the Serious Crime Act 2015 (“Controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship”):

- Reports of offences

- Arrests 

- Charges

- Cautions

- Prosecutions

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with both the Corporate Development and Criminal Justice Departments of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
