Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

  1. Please provide details of the number of reports of hate crime based on gender for each of the years between and including 2014 and 2019
  2. Please provide details of how many hate crimes based on gender were then charged for each of the years between and including 2014 and 2019
  3. Please provide details of the age and gender of those charged for each year between and including 2014 and 2019
  4. Please provide a budget for overall gender-based hate crime, broken by year if that is available
  5. Please provide details of the number of reports of burglary for each of the years between and including 2014 and 2019
  6. Please provide details of how many burglary suspects were then charged for each of the years between and including 2014 and 2019
  7. Please provide a budget for overall burglary, broken by year if that is available

After we sought clarity you confirmed that by ‘reports’ you actually meant crimes.
