Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

I request crime data on offenses that have occurred on public transport and at stations, stops and hubs within:

Southern area command (Houghton and Hetton, Sunderland West, Sunderland East, Sunderland Central, Sunderland North, Washington, East Shields, Boldon, Cleadon and Whitburn, West Shields & Riverside, Jarrow and Hebburn)

Central area command (South Gateshead, East Gateshead, Central Gateshead, Inner West Gateshead, Outer West Gateshead, Newcastle)

Northern area command (East Tynedale, Wallsend, North Shields, Killingworth, Whitley Bay, Cramlington)

I request:

1.    Crime type/offense

2.    Time

3.    Location – by OS XY coordinates or Latitude and Longitude.

4.    Transport mode

5.    High level demographic data on victim & offender ( age, gender, Ethnicity)

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held in part by Northumbria Police.

To note not all crimes have  been geo-located, therefore some information is not held.
