Can each question be broken down into the following sections - location of crime, description of crime, were there any arrests and age and sex of person(s) arrested.
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
With the below in mind, I am able to disclose the located information to you as attached.
The data was collated by searching all crimes created between 01/01/2016 and 31/12/2017 where either 'wedding' and 'funeral' appeared in the crime MO. Each crime was reviewed to determine if the crime occurred at a wedding/funeral, if there was an arrest made and if so, the age and sex of those arrested. The location given is the sector the crime occurred in.
There is not an option to record the location of the crime as a specific event (e.g. wedding or funeral) and therefore a key word search was conducted instead. If the crime occurred at a wedding/funeral but these words were not mentioned as part of the crime MO, this crime will not be included. As the searches are based on a key word search, it is possible that the figures may not be accurate.
We have kept the arrests and crimes separate so as not to identify individuals and avoid any exemptions being applied.
