Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
You asked:
Please could you provide the total number of crimes related to youth produced sexual imagery that have been recorded as Outcome 21 since January 2016 to the present day. I think the home Office crime code is 86/1. So I’d be looking for any crimes recorded as an outcome 21 based upon that crime code. Basically the Outcome 21 policy for recording minors distributing indecent images of minors came into being in Jan 2016 and I’m interested to see how many times it has been used.
In Response:
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
The HO Code used was 086/10 and in conjunction with the date parameters and Outcome 21 there were two results in total.
