In Response:

I am able to disclose the located information to you with the following caveats noted:

  • Every effort is made to ensure that the figures presented are accurate and complete.  However, it is important to note that these data have been extracted from a number of data sources used by forces for police purposes.  The detail collected to respond specifically to your request is subject to the inaccuracies inherent in any large scale recording system.  As a consequence, care should be taken to ensure data collection processes and their inevitable limitations are taken into account when interpreting those data.
  • The figures provided therefore are our best interpretation of relevance of data to your request, but you should be aware that the collation of figures for ad hoc requests may have limitations and this should be taken into account when those data are used.
  • Data has been taken from the central database based on the provided search terms.
  • Whilst we try to provide as much information as possible this would only be done where no harm could be caused by its disclosure.  As such, It should be noted that the information has been provided in a way which avoids the use of exemptions to withhold.  However, due to the nature of the offences and the very low figures in some cases this has been necessary to protect the individuals involved for example some data has been grouped.

With the above noted I respond as follows.

Please see the attached document in response to all but conviction data,

For conviction data we can advise as follows:

Convicted = 15

In the 15 cases where a conviction has been secured and total of 11 had previous convictions.
