Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

For the periods 2017 and 2018:
- Please state how many dogs were reported as stolen in your area
- Over the same timeframes, please state how many of these cases were resolved (i.e. the pet was returned to its owner):
- If possible, please state the three most commonly stolen breeds of dog and the number of each taken
- Over the same timeframe, how many individuals were arrested in your area for theft of a dog?

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
