You asked:

Can you please provide the details of the number of Domestic Abuse Victims reporting to Northumbria Police broken down as follows:

The period 1st January 2017 to 31st December 2017 inclusive by Age, Ethnic Origin and Gender and by Police Division

In Response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

Domestic abuse crimes have been identified as those which have been created following a domestic abuse incident. The data included is a count of all victims of these crimes.  Note that the same person may be counted more than once if they have been a victim of several domestic abuse crimes within the period. Data has been separated by area command, ethnic origin, gender and age of the victim.

With the above in mind, I am able to disclose the located information to you as attached.
