Date Responded 15 May 2020

Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

Re my previous submission FOI 556/20 .

  1. I'd really appreciate the total for March 1st so I can get an accurate picture for March 2020.
  2. Could I possibly please check which NICL code (as per the NSIR Definitions and Guidance 2011) this information relates to?

Does the information provided pertain to the opening code "Domestic Incident" or to the (other option qualifiers) closing code "Domestic Abuse"?

In Response:

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

  1. The figure 125 is for 1st March – however as your aware, you asked for info by week commencing dates in your previous request FOI 556/20, the last of these weeks would therefore be partially comprised of data from April 2020, which would not provide an accurate response for March figures.  As such, to avoid you having to make a third submission, and to avoid you publishing inaccurate information, we have provided you with the total number of calls for March 2020 below.

3280

2. This information covers all data related to domestic incidents/domestic abuse.

This FOI has been answered in the same fashion as 556/20 to provide consistent data.
