Domestic violence - 332/19

Date Responded 04 April 2019

Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

The number of domestic violence offences where the suspected perpetrator was identified as female in each of the last 10 calendar years, organised by month.

In Response:

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

The data has been taken from the central database using the crime and disposal tables. Duplicate crime numbers were then identified to isolate those crimes that had more than one disposal.

There is no domestic violence flag before 0/06/2009 so the first three values of this dataset are marked N/A.
