Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

  1. the number of recorded drug offences between January 20 and March 23, 2020?
  2. the number of recorded drug offences between March 23 and May 25, 2020?
  3. the number of recorded drug offences between March 23 and May 25, 2019?

In Response:

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

To note, to respond to your request as set out would mean that 23 March at points 1 and 2 would be counted twice and therefore figures would not be accurate.  We have therefore responded to point 1 up to and including 22 March 2020 to ensure no misrepresentation of the figures.
