Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

  1. The number of pupils caught in possession of an illegal drug in school in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 so far?
  2. The number of drug offences recorded on school premises in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 so far?
  3. A breakdown of the type of drug offences recorded on school premises (possession/ supply) in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 so far?
  4. A breakdown of the illegal drugs involved in the drug offences recorded on school premises in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 so far?
  5. The age of the youngest person caught in possession of an illegal drug in school between 2014 and 2019 and what was that drug?
  6. The outcome of each of the drug offences recorded on school premises in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 so far?

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as attached .

  1. Please note that the data supplied for this question is higher than in subsequent questions - this is due to multiple offenders being recorded for some of the offences.
