Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

Please provide me with the latest information you hold on the number of arrests that have occurred during the match day policing operations for each home fixture this season (2018/19) for the following teams, in so far as they are applicable to your force.

Liverpool, Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, Wolves, Leicester, Burnley, Watford, Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Brighton, Southampton, Cardiff, Huddersfield.

Please provide the numerical figures along with the corresponding type of offence.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Football Unit of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

NUFC – Liverpool = 8 – Section 3 Public order, drunk entering a sports ground, drunk entering a sports ground, Section 4 Public order, Section 4 Public order, Non-schedule 1 offence, Section 4 Public order, Possession of alcohol

NUFC – Burnley = 1 – Non schedule 1 offence

NUFC – Everton = 2 – Section 5, Drunk entering, Section 5

NUFC – Blackburn = 2 – Drunk entering a sports ground,  Non-schedule 1 offence

NUFC – Manchester United = 1 – Possession of flare, None schedule 1 offence, Common assault, Possession of a firework.

NUFC – Wolves = 1 – Drunk entering a sports ground.

NUFC  - Crystal Palace  = 1 -  Possession of a flare

NUFC – Southampton = 2 – Breach of the peace, Drunk and disorderly.
