For each of the financial years 2014/15, 15/16, 16/17, 17/18 and 18/19, can you please provide the following information:
- The number of non-crime hate incidents (also known as hate incidents), as defined by the College of Policing, recorded by the Force.
- The category recorded for each incident eg transphobia, racism, misogyny.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
This data is collated using the five monitored strands of hate crime stated in the publication ‘Hate Crime Operational Guidance (HCOG)’ issued by the College of Policing.
These are incidents with a hate qualifier attached that have no recorded offence linked.
