Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

1/The annual number of murder offences for each of the last 5 full financial years ending with 2017/18.

2/The annual number of sanction detections for murder offences within 6 months of the day the murder occurred for each of the last 5 full financial years ending with 2017/18.

3/The annual number of sanction detections for murder offences within 1 year of the day the murder occurred for each of the last 5 full financial years ending with 2017/18.

On the 30th May you then changed your request to the below

1/The annual number of murder offences for each of the last 5 full financial years ending with 2017/18.

2/The annual number of charges for murder offences made within 6 months of the day the murder occurred for each of the last 5 full financial years ending with 2017/18. (The murder itself has to have taken place within the financial year).

3/The annual number of charges for murder offences made within 1 year of the day the murder occurred for each of the last 5 full financial years ending with 2017/18. (The murder itself has to have taken place within the financial year).
