Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
1. How many investigations into ram raids has your police force conducted in 2017, 2016 and 2015.
2. Could I have this information broken down year by year for the years I have asked for.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
Data has been collated through a search of all crimes created between 01/01/15 - 31/12/17 where 'RAM' was recorded in one of the method/means fields attached the crime. These were filtered for Burglary and Robbery crimes then reviewed to establish any relevant cases. Included are those crimes where a vehicle was used to gain entry or used in an attempt to gain entry to a property/business.
If the methods/means element of the crime is not completed with the word 'RAM' then it will not be returned in the results.
With the above noted, the results of those searches is as below.
