Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
You asked:
“I shall be please if you could let me know the following information for each of the past three years:
1. The number cases/incidents reported to the force for, rape, sexual assault/harassment?
2. The number of cases/incidents investigated by the Police?.
3. The number of cases/incidents where charges/summons were made”
Clarity was sought and you said “I note there is no "crime of sexual harassment", I am looking for incidents of sexual harassment including rape, sexual abuse, sexual assault and other such crimes against women”

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention. Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
