Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
You asked:
1.The total value of assets seized from criminals by the force in the last financial year (2017-2018).
2.Please also provide the total value of assets seized from criminals by the force in each of the four preceding financial years.
3.For each year, please provide a breakdown which shows the value of cash seizures, asset seizures and confiscations within this total.
4.Please can you also provide me full details of the force's largest five cash seizures and asset seizures in the past year, including the total value of the seizure, what was seized, and from whom it was seized.

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Crime Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police however cannot be disclosed for the following reasons.
The information requested is not held in a format that permits its extraction from systems used and we have no way of interrogating those systems to provide a response to your queries. However I can advise that you may be able to obtain this information from Joint Asset Recovery Database (JARD) and their contact email address is pnc.servicedesk@homeoffice.pnn.police.uk . However you should also be aware that exemptions to withhold may be applied to any information not for public disclosure.
