Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

1. How many crimes of theft* involving sheep have been recorded over the last five calendar years (annual year, Jan-Jan)?

2014    2015    2016    2017    2018 (year to date)      

          

2. What were the recorded outcomes/disposals of each of the crimes of theft involving sheep over the last five calendar years: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 (annual year, Jan-Jan)?

a.         If possible, can you tell me how many of these crimes were referred to the CPS?

 

3. What was the total number of sheep stolen over the last five calendar years where recorded (annual year, Jan-Jan)?

*Crimes of theft meaning the number of crimes reported, not individual numbers of sheep.
