Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
- What is the total amount, in pounds and pence, that your police force has generated from speed cameras overseen and/or operated by your force so far this year, last year (2020) and 2019? Further, how many fines in total do these amounts relate to for each year? So please list in total how much in pounds and pence has been generated for every year listed above from all speed cameras in your force’s jurisdiction. Then please separately also list for each year how many fines in total these amounts relate to.
- Please list which camera overseen and/or operated by your force has generated the largest amount of money so far this year, and separately over the course of the three years listed above, and where that camera is located. Please detail in pounds and pence in total how much this camera generated and how many fines were issued.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Fixed Penalty Unit of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police. We do not generate any income from fines, nor do we hold any information that would provide a response to question 2.
