Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

- For the calendar year 2018 how many times was a CED (taser) discharged by an officer in relation to the offender having possession of a weapon?
- For the period 1st January - 1st July 2019, how many times was a CED (taser) discharged by an officer in relation to the offender having possession of a weapon?
In Response:
The requested information was collated from the Force CED usage database. The data was collated by calendar year for 2017 and 2018. For 2019 the information was collated from 1 January - 1 July 2019.
- A CED (taser) was discharged 26 times in relation to an offender being in possession of a weapon.
- A CED (taser) was discharged 42 times in relation to an offender being in possession of a weapon.
- A CED (taser) was discharged 25 times in relation to an offender being in possession of a weapon.
