Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

  1. How many crimes that took place in the five years up the date of my request included the word "vegan" in the free text area?
  2. Please give the following details about each incident:
  • Date incident took place
  • Date incident recorded
  • Type of crime
  • Outcome category

Please provide the contents of the free text area for crimes that took place in the six months up until the date of my request.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows with the below caveat noted.

Keyword searches of all crimes within the past five years (2015-2019, also including to date of your submission, were carried out  for the word "vegan." If the word does not show up in the MO field, then the crime will not appear in this return. This means that if the word "vegan" was present at a later point during a crime, it will not be recorded in these returns.
