Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

- Please disclose how many youths have been arrested for offences relating to possessing a knife or bladed article since 2014, with a yearly breakdown (January to December).
- For each respective year, please disclose the age of the youngest person arrested.
- Since the start of 2019, please disclose the postcodes (Just the first half to avoid identification i.e. NE5) of all the arrests made of youths in possession of knives or bladed articles.
PLEASE NOTE: By "youth" I mean anyone under the age of 18 at the time of the arrest.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
The data was taken from the central database arrest, crime and disposal tables where the offence was one of the following:
Possession of offensive weapon without lawful authority or reasonable excuse
Having an article with a blade or point in a public place
Having an article with a blade or point on school premises
and the offender was under 18 years of age.
The date range is from 01/04/2014 to 19/08/2019. The first three months of 2014 are not available as the offenders date of birth is not held in the database before this date.
