Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

I am carrying out research into the cost charged by each force in supplying both a CEV of an individuals  pension and a Pension Sharing Order.

To this end I will be grateful if you give the charge made for both items, together with the number of hours involved in arriving at such cost. 

In Response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention. 

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Finance Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police. 

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows. 

We currently charge the following rates for police pensioners:- 

Provision of CETV                                                - £60.00 plus VAT

Implementation of a Pension Sharing Order        - £400.00 plus VAT 

These charges are not linked to a number of hours work, they include all administration, letters, postage, and implementation of the pension share order against the pension.
