Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

I am writing to obtain information about flights your organisation has paid for since 1 January 2015 up to todays date. 

Please include the following information:

• The name of the airline used

• The fare paid

• The class of ticket (eg economy, premium economy, business, first)

• The date

• The port of departure

• The port of arrival 

Please include flights that have been paid for directly as well as any flights staff or others have been reimbursed for.

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention. 

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Business Support and Finance Departments of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as attached. 

For your information and as a guidance to the information provided, Northumbria Police has a procedure in place before any type of travel can be arranged.  All applications are scrutinised to find the cheapest option available and must be approved by the Command Team.  Only when this has been sanctioned, can the travel be booked.
