Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

Please provide me with full details of your force’s expenditure on attendance at the following Chief Constables’ Councils meetings:

11-12 July 2018, London

18-19 April 2018, York

24 –25 January 2018, Police Federation HQ, Surrey

18 –19 October 2017, Guildhall, London

12 –13 July 2017, Latimer Place, Buckinghamshire

5 – 6 April 2017, Radisson Blu, Durham

25 –26 January 2017 Police Federation HQ, Surrey

 For each meeting, please state:

a.    How many of your chief officers and any support staff attended

b.    How much money was spent on their accommodation, and at what hotel

c.    How much money was spent on their travel to the venue, and whether it was train/car/flight

d.    How much money was spent on their food and drink during the trip

In Response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with Executive Support of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as attached.

To note, on this occasion we have considered no harm in releasing however this should not be taken as what may be released in any similar future requests. 

Additionally I can advise that a summary of all current Chief Office expenses is proactively published on a quarterly basis on the Northumbria Police website. Archived expenses are also available back to 2011.
