As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
I am writing to request the information regarding the cost of policing the recent visit of the Prime Minster Boris Johnson and the entire cabinet to The National Glass Centre on January 31st 2020.
We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Finance Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police.
We do not hold the full costs of policing the visit of the Prime Minister as most officers will have policed this visit as part of their normal duty times, which are not costed separately to operations.
However, please note that we may hold some Information in future, ie any additional costs to the force arising from this visit such as overtime costs, mutual aid costs from other forces, invoiced expenses etc. This information may be available once its collated at the end of March 2020 and therefore you may wish to resubmit your request after that date.
