Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

I would like to know how many officers took sick leave for depression, anxiety, stress or post traumatic stress. Please provide the figures from March 2017 to April 2018. Up to today's date is fine.

By this I mean where any of the terms 'depression', 'anxiety' or 'stress' or 'post traumatic stress' appear in the description of the officer's illness.

Please include a breakdown listing the specific illnesses, where possible.

 You later confirmed that your request relates to police officers only.

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Human Resources Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

Please note that the information provided is from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018, as your previous request FOI 495/17, already has the data for March 2017 included.
