Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

Please could you disclose what percentage of police officers who joined after 01/01/2016 and resigned before 31/12/2021.

In Response:

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the People Systems Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police as we do not hold a percentage of police officers who joined 1 January 2016 and resigned before 31 December 2021 as there is no requirement to record this information. However we can provide you with the raw figures as follows in order that you can calculate this yourself.

There have been 1,362 new starters since 1 January 2016, and there have been 94 resignations before 31 December 2021.
