Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
You asked:
During 2020 and 2021 what was the wastage (percentage) of recruits/officers that resigned, or were dismissed, before they had completed 3 years service?
In Response:
Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Professional Standards and People Systems Departments of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held in part by Northumbria Police.
You should note that we do not hold ‘percentage’ figures and are not obliged to create them just to enable a response to a request. We have however provided you with figures which you may find useful.
I can advise that from the 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2021 a total of 49 Northumbria Police officers resigned or were dismissed before they completed three years’ service.
