Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

1.The software used by the Media/Communications team to manage press enquiries, send press releases and maintain a press contacts database. 2.Please specify the value and the expiry date of any contracts associated with the tools you use. 

3.The software used by the Media/Communications team to monitor the media.

4.Please specify the value and the expiry date of any contracts associated with the tools you use. 

5.The software used by the Media/Communications team to manage and store interactions with stakeholders (e.g. the media, regulators, government agencies, the community, the public).

6.Please specify the value and the expiry date of any contracts associated with the tools you use. 

7.The software used by the Public Affairs or any other relevant team to monitor the political environment and Parliament and log interactions with politicians, civil servants, lobbying bodies, trade unions, etc.

8.Please specify the value and the expiry date of any contracts associated with the tools you use.

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention. 

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted within Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police. 

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows. 

With regards to points 1, 5 and 7 the below exemption is applicable. 

As the information you have requested is accessible by other means I have not provided you with a copy of the information and will rely on Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  You should therefore consider this a refusal for your request. 

I have provided an explanation to this exemption below. 

Section 21 (1) - Information accessible by other means 

Information which is reasonably accessible to the applicant is exempt information.

You asked identical questions in October 2017, FOI 1157/17 refers, to which we responded to.  I can advise that the response to this new request is as 1157/17 for those points. 

With regards to points 3, 4-6  we use the same software as of points 1,5 and 7. 

With regards to point 2: £13,00 per annum Ex VAT

Contract runs until Dec 31 2020
