We are looking for information regarding the following since 2010.

How many stabbings (whether resulting in injury or death) there have been in police cells, custody suites, interview rooms and any other places where a detainee may be held on Police premises. Also, whether these stabbings or injuries were inflicted on the detainee themselves,  or staff members.

In Response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Custody Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that no information is held.  Our searches produced a nil result.
