Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
You asked:
“I am researching police personnel numbers over the passed ten years.
Is it possible to provide these to me for both sworn police constables and uniformed support staff from 2010 to the present?”
You then clarified that by ‘uniformed support staff’ you referred to PCSOs and Detention staff
In Response:
I am able to disclose the located information to you with the caveats noted as follows.
- Data compiled from 1 January each year with additional data taken at 1 December 2021 to reflect numbers to date.
- Figures reflect Actual FTE
