Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

  1. How many calls were made relating to mental health concerns during the year of 2017?
  2. How often were calls made relating to mental health concerns during 2017 e.g one every four minutes?

In Response:

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held in part by Northumbria Police.

  1. 8227 – this is  based on the number of incidents that have a mental health qualifier attached.
  2. No information held.  This is not recorded information, however this can be calculated by yourself from the response to point 1
