Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Force Resilience Unit of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.
I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
- The total number of public demonstrations (rallies, riots, protests and marches) for the period from 1 January 2019 to 6 November 2019 = 194.
- Figures relating to the above for the period from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018 = 117.
