Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

We would like to request who carries out your first aid training or if this is an in house arrangement and would this apply to your specialist units as well.

In Response:

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Training and Development Department. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

All training is delivered in house and this applies to specialist units also.

First aid training at MOD2, MOD3 and MOD5 level is carried by Operational Trainers from Specialist Operational Training. First aid training at D13E level is carried out by National Firearms Instructors from Firearms Support Unit.
