Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

The total number of Disclosure Requests relating to Clare's Law by Calendar Year for both 2017 and 2018 (up to and including 30th April 2018,) respectively by Gender. Please provide the gender for the "Person At Risk" i.e. the person for whom the enquiry has been made by directly and/or on behalf of.

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Safeguarding Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

2017 – Total of 236 requests, 4 x male and 232 x female PAR

2018 (to 30th April) – Total of 125 requests, all relating to female PAR
