Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

“Please disclose the following data for each individual month starting from December 2020, until June 2021

1. How many reports your force had relating to Covid rulebreaking

2. How many fines were issued in that months for Covid rulebreaking”

In Response:

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development and Criminal Justice Departments of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

1. Searches were carried out on recording systems for instances where the Final incident qualifying codes was one of the following:
Covid 19 ASB related incidents
Covid 19 Non ASB or risk related incidents
Covid 19 Risk related incidents
