Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

This relates to Fixed Penalty Notices on the Tyne and Wear Metro for people not wearing face coverings during the coronavirus pandemic, when the rules were brought in. More specifically, I would like to request the following.

1. The number of Fixed Penalty Notices/Fines given by Northumbria Police for people not wearing face coverings on the Tyne and Wear Metro Service.
2. A breakdown of ages and genders of people issued with a FPN and the location it was given, if this information is held?
3. How many arrests were made in relation to refusal to wear a face covering?

I would like the information for the period of June 15, 2020 to August 19, 2020 and I would like this information broken down by day. For example - Monday, June 15, 5 FPN, Female, 30, Hebburn, Male 54, South Gosforth etc

If any further information is logged, such as times, then please include that.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted within Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by Northumbria Police.
There have been no such fines or arrests.
